Best social inbox tools for agencies in 2026

Compare unified social inbox tools for agencies on the coverage that matters: which platforms each one reads comments, DMs, mentions and reviews from, and what the entry plan costs.

TL;DR

Agorapulse and NapoleonCat have the widest inbox coverage in 2026, including reviews and ad comments, so they lead this list. Sprout Social and Hootsuite cover the major networks but gate AI replies and sentiment behind higher tiers or an Enterprise add-on. Aidelly sits third because its inbox includes AI-drafted replies, spam auto-hide, sentiment and purchase-intent scoring on every paid plan, but it reads 8 platforms while it publishes to 11. Publer is on the list because agencies shortlist it, and it is the clearest example of comment tools without a real inbox.

Ranked tools

#1 Agorapulse

Visit site

Best for: Agencies that need one inbox covering comments, DMs, mentions, reviews and paid-post comments

Agorapulse publishes the widest inbox coverage of any tool here. Its pricing page lists Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business, TikTok, Bluesky and Reddit, and every paid tier includes the inbox and Google reviews moderation.

Strengths

  • Broadest published platform list, including Bluesky and Reddit
  • Ad comments on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok from the Professional tier
  • Google reviews moderation on all paid tiers
  • Rule-based Inbox Assistant to hide, assign or bookmark by keyword

Things to verify

  • Priced per user, so the bill scales with headcount, not clients
  • The pricing page lists AI reply suggestions under the Custom tier
  • Saved replies and advanced spam management need Advanced or Custom

#2 NapoleonCat

Visit site

Best for: Agencies whose clients live on app stores and Google Business as well as social

NapoleonCat itemises coverage per platform and per interaction type, which is rare. Its Social Inbox reads Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Messenger, Google My Business, Google Play and the Apple App Store, and it holds AI reply suggestions for human approval before sending.

Strengths

  • Coverage published per platform and per interaction type
  • Reviews from Google My Business, Google Play and the Apple App Store
  • AI and rule-based auto-moderation for spam and hate speech
  • AI reply suggestions built from brand voice, FAQs and custom rules

Things to verify

  • The pricing table did not render for us, so confirm plan costs directly
  • Base plans include a set number of profiles and seats; extras cost more
  • Inbox capacity is metered per plan, so high-volume clients may need a larger tier

#3 Aidelly

Visit site

Best for: Agencies that want AI triage, spam handling and sentiment included on the entry plan rather than sold as an upgrade

Aidelly reads comments, DMs, mentions and reviews across 8 platforms in one feed, and every paid plan includes AI-drafted replies, spam auto-hide, sentiment chips and purchase-intent flags. It publishes to 11 platforms but the inbox reads 8, so TikTok, Pinterest and Bluesky engagement still needs the native app.

Strengths

  • AI-drafted replies and comment intelligence on the entry plan, from $39 per month
  • Spam auto-hide, sentiment chips, purchase-intent flags and competitor link blocking
  • Keyword automations that send a DM when someone comments a trigger word
  • Flat per-workspace pricing, so the bill does not grow per seat or per client

Things to verify

  • The inbox reads 8 platforms while publishing covers 11, TikTok, Pinterest and Bluesky are publish-only
  • LinkedIn inbox support is pending platform API approval
  • AI drafts spend AI credits from the plan pool, roughly 2 to 8 per draft
  • AI moderation is off by default and has a daily credit budget

#4 Sprout Social

Visit site

Best for: Larger teams that need collision detection and conversation history across many operators

The Smart Inbox consolidates comments, DMs and mentions across connected profiles, with collision detection so two people do not answer the same message. Review management extends to Google Business Profile, Yelp and the Apple App Store.

Strengths

  • Collision detection and conversation history for multi-operator teams
  • Review management across Google Business Profile, Yelp and the Apple App Store
  • Contact views that carry history between conversations

Things to verify

  • Priced per seat, the most expensive option on this list at scale
  • The pricing page lists the consolidated inbox from the Standard plan, not Essentials
  • The inbox pages do not state spam or sentiment behaviour, ask before buying

#5 Hootsuite

Visit site

Best for: Teams that also handle WhatsApp and want the inbox on every plan tier

Hootsuite includes its inbox on every plan and covers Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Threads. The AI and sentiment features live in Advanced Inbox, which is an Enterprise add-on.

Strengths

  • The inbox is on every plan, including Standard
  • WhatsApp messaging alongside social channels
  • Auto-resolution rules on keywords and PII masking

Things to verify

  • AI smart replies and sentiment filtering require Advanced Inbox, an Enterprise add-on
  • YouTube comment moderation runs through Streams, not the inbox
  • No review channel is listed on the inbox page

#6 Statusbrew

Visit site

Best for: Agencies that want per-client billing and a strong moderation rule engine

Statusbrew describes its inbox as covering more than 10 social, messaging and review channels, with a rule engine that hides toxic comments and filters URLs, emails, phone numbers and keywords. Its agency group plan is priced per client rather than per seat.

Strengths

  • Agency group plan billed per client, listed from $49 per month per client
  • Rule engine for auto-hiding and routing, with content filters
  • AI reply suggestions, auto-replies and conversation summaries
  • Google review management across many locations

Things to verify

  • The full channel list is not published, only Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google Reviews are named
  • Plan prices did not render on the pricing page, confirm them directly
  • AI sentiment analysis requires the Premium plan

#7 Sendible

Visit site

Best for: Agencies that want the inbox on a cheap entry plan and mostly handle comments

Sendible puts its Priority Inbox on every tier, starting at $19 per month, and profiles scale with the plan rather than with seats. Its published engagement coverage is comment-led: Facebook post and ad comments, Instagram comments, LinkedIn company page comments and YouTube comment replies.

Strengths

  • Priority Inbox on every tier, including Core at $19 per month
  • Unlimited users on every plan, profiles scale with the tier
  • Facebook ad comments handled alongside organic comments

Things to verify

  • DM and review coverage is not itemised on the pricing or inbox pages
  • No AI reply, sentiment or spam behaviour is described for the inbox
  • Profile counts, not seats, are the limit, so many small clients consume the tier fast

#8 Later

Visit site

Best for: Instagram-led accounts that need DMs, comments and post mentions in one place

Later gates its social inbox behind the Growth plan and scopes it narrowly: Instagram DMs, comments and post mentions, plus Facebook and TikTok conversations. That is a good fit for Instagram-first work and a poor fit for broad coverage.

Strengths

  • Instagram DMs, comments and post mentions in one view
  • Facebook and TikTok conversations included
  • Growth plan is $37.50 per month billed annually

Things to verify

  • The Starter plan has no social inbox at all
  • Only three networks are covered, no LinkedIn, X, YouTube or reviews
  • No AI reply or sentiment behaviour is stated on the pricing page

#9 Publer

Visit site

Best for: Teams on a small budget that only need to reply to comments on their own posts

Publer is the cheapest tool here and the one to be clearest about: it has comment tools, not an inbox. You reply to comments on posts you published or synced in Publer, from the calendar view, and there is no documented DM, mention or review handling.

Strengths

  • Cheapest entry point, Professional from $5 per month for one social account
  • Comment replies documented for nine networks including Mastodon and Bluesky
  • AI Assist drafts a reply to a selected comment

Things to verify

  • No unified inbox, comment tools are scoped to posts published or synced in Publer
  • No documented DM, mention or review handling
  • Pricing is per social account and per member, so multi-client agencies add cost quickly

How to choose

  • Write down the platforms and interaction types your clients actually need, then check each tool platform by platform. A tool that reads ten networks for comments and three for DMs is not a ten-network inbox.
  • Check whether reviews are in scope. If your clients have physical locations or apps, Google Business Profile and app store reviews decide the shortlist, and only Agorapulse, NapoleonCat, Sprout Social, Statusbrew and Aidelly cover a review channel here.
  • Find out which tier the AI features sit on before you price the tool. Hootsuite puts smart replies and sentiment in an Enterprise add-on, Agorapulse lists AI reply suggestions under Custom, and Statusbrew gates sentiment to Premium.
  • Model the bill at three times your current client count. Per-seat pricing (Agorapulse, Sprout Social) grows with your team, per-profile pricing (Sendible, Publer) grows with your clients, and flat or per-client pricing (Aidelly, Statusbrew group plans) behaves differently again.
  • Run a two-week pilot on your noisiest client account and measure time to first reply and how many spam comments got through. Coverage tables do not tell you whether a queue is workable.

Methodology

We compared each tool on one question: which platforms does it read, and for which interaction types. Coverage is stated per platform and per interaction type, never as a count, because a tool that reads 10 networks for comments and 3 for DMs is not a 10-network inbox. Every price and platform list here comes from a vendor page we fetched on 10 September 2026. Where a vendor page did not render its prices or did not itemise coverage, the cell says so instead of guessing. Verify current pricing before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

A social inbox is one queue that collects the comments, direct messages, mentions and reviews from every social account you manage, so you reply in one place instead of opening each native app. The useful ones also tell you which platform and which client account an item came from, and let you assign items to a teammate.

Agorapulse publishes the widest list. Its pricing page names Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business, TikTok, Bluesky and Reddit, and adds ad comments on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok from the Professional tier. NapoleonCat covers fewer social networks but adds Google Play and Apple App Store reviews, which matters if your clients ship apps.

The Aidelly inbox reads 8 platforms: Instagram comments and DMs, Facebook comments and DMs, YouTube video comments, Threads replies and mentions, X replies and DMs, Google Business Profile reviews and Q&A, Mastodon replies and mentions, and LinkedIn, which is pending platform API approval. Publishing covers 11 platforms, so TikTok, Pinterest and Bluesky can be posted to but not read from. If TikTok comment volume is your main problem, pick a tool that reads TikTok.

No. Publer documents comment management for posts you published or synced inside Publer, reached from the calendar view, across nine networks. There is no documented handling of direct messages, mentions or reviews, and no single queue across accounts. If replying to comments on your own posts is the whole job, that may be enough.

It varies, and it changes the total more than the headline price does. Agorapulse and Sprout Social charge per user, so cost grows with your team. Sendible and Publer meter social profiles or accounts, so cost grows with your client list. Statusbrew lists an agency group plan from $49 per month per client. Aidelly charges per workspace, with the Agency plan at $349 per month, or $279 per month billed yearly, including white label and unlimited client workspaces.

Only with a human gate in front of them. Every tool here that drafts replies still expects someone to read the draft before it sends, and NapoleonCat states that explicitly. Treat auto-send as a separate decision from auto-draft, keep auto-send for narrow cases like keyword auto-DMs, and check what the tool does when it is unsure rather than what it does when it is confident.
