Auto-Post FAQ

What sources can I connect?

Four source types: (1) RSS / Atom β€” any blog or CMS with a feed URL (WordPress, Ghost, Notion, Medium, custom). (2) Podcast β€” paste an RSS podcast feed and new episodes auto-syndicate. (3) Newsletter β€” Beehiiv and Substack via their public RSS, or a generic newsletter adapter. (4) YouTube β€” paste a channel handle or URL and Aidelly resolves the upload feed.

Does it post automatically or just draft?

Your choice per source. Three modes: (1) Auto-draft only β€” new items become drafts you review. (2) Approval batch β€” new items group into a batch for one-click approval. (3) Auto-publish β€” bypass review (use with trusted sources only).

How does the per-platform AI rewrite work?

For each new item, Aidelly generates a platform-tuned caption: long-form for LinkedIn, hook-first for X, hashtag-heavy for Instagram, etc. Podcast and YouTube items get teaser captions with episode/video metadata. Uses your brand voice from Brand Memory.

What about the first-connect backfill?

Capped at 24 hours of source history on first connect to prevent dumping an entire archive into your scheduler. After that, only new items.

What if a source breaks?

Three consecutive failed fetches auto-pause the source and email you. Resume in one click after fixing the source. The activity log records every pause / resume.

How often are sources polled?

Every 15 minutes across all source types. YouTube and podcasts use the same polling cadence as RSS β€” there is no per-source-type difference today.

Wait, this used to be called RSS?

Correct. Auto-Post is the new umbrella for the same engine β€” we extended it past RSS to cover podcasts, newsletters, and YouTube in PR #834. Old /features/rss bookmarks 301-redirect here.
