Quick Start

Get up and running in 30 minutes — workspace setup, connect accounts, publish your first post, and master the core workflows.

Welcome to Aidelly

This guide walks you through the essential first steps. You'll have a live post within 30 minutes, then be ready to explore every other feature.

Before you start

  • You have an Aidelly account and are logged in.
  • You have social media accounts to connect (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Facebook, etc.).
  • If this is an agency workspace, confirm you have Admin or Owner access from your team.

Part 1 — Set up your workspace (5 minutes)

Your workspace is your self-contained brand environment. Every workspace has its own identity, team, and connected social accounts.

Step 1: Name and brand your workspace

  1. Click your workspace name in the sidebar at the top-left (or click the account menu → Settings).
  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. Update:
    • Workspace name — the brand or project name (e.g., "Acme Corp Marketing")
    • Workspace type — "My brand" (yours) or "Client" (you manage it for someone else)
    • Business logo — upload your brand's logo (PNG, SVG, JPG)
    • Click Pull from logo if you want Aidelly to auto-extract brand colors
  4. Click Save.
  1. Stay in Settings, click the Brand voice tab.
  2. Fill out the form with details like:
    • Industry — what sector are you in?
    • Audience — who do you're talking to?
    • Brand voice — tone descriptors (professional, playful, casual, authoritative, etc.)
    • Main offer — what's your core product or service?
  3. Click Save.

Why: Aidelly's AI uses this to generate better content and captions. Better input = sharper output.

Part 2 — Connect your social accounts (5 minutes)

Step 1: Connect your first account

  1. From the sidebar, click Settings → Social accounts (or use the quick-connect in the onboarding flow if it appears).
  2. Click Connect account and pick a platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Mastodon, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.).
  3. You'll see a platform-specific login screen (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  4. Authorize Aidelly to read your account info and post on your behalf.
  5. Once authorized, the account appears in the list with a green checkmark.

Step 2: Repeat for other platforms (optional)

You can connect multiple accounts from the same platform (e.g., Instagram for business + personal) or different platforms. Each connection is independent.

Multi-account tip: if you manage several brands, create separate workspaces. Each workspace keeps its own content, calendar, and analytics isolated.

Part 3 — Publish your first post (10 minutes)

Option A: Use Chat to write with AI

  1. Click 💬 Chat in the sidebar.
  2. Type a prompt like: "Create an Instagram post about my latest product launch" (be specific about what you want).
  3. Aidelly's AI draft appears in seconds.
  4. Edit the caption if you want tweaks.
  5. Click Create post to send it to the Composer.
  6. (See Option C below to schedule or publish.)

Option B: Use the Composer to write manually

  1. Click ✏️ Create Post in the sidebar.
  2. Write your caption in the text editor.
  3. Optionally add media (image, video, carousel) from your device or the Media Library.
  4. Preview how it looks on each platform.
  5. Adjust platform-specific settings (e.g., alt text for Instagram, article link for LinkedIn).

Option C: Schedule or publish

From the Composer or Chat's Create post flow:

  1. Schedule for later — pick a date and time (uses your workspace timezone).
    • Calendar auto-populates suggested best times based on your audience's engagement patterns.
  2. Publish now — goes live immediately to all selected platforms.
  3. Click Publish or Schedule.

Your post is now live or scheduled. Refresh Analytics after ~1 hour to see early engagement.

Part 4 — View and manage scheduled posts (5 minutes)

Step 1: Open the calendar

  1. Click 📅 Calendar in the sidebar.
  2. View options: Day, Week, Month, or List.
  3. Your scheduled posts appear as colored chips by platform (Instagram pink, LinkedIn blue, etc.).

Step 2: Reschedule if needed

  1. Click any post chip to open it.
  2. Click the scheduled time to pick a new date/time.
  3. Click Save.

Or drag-and-drop the post to a new date (in Week/Month view).

Step 3: Plan ahead

  1. Spot gaps — empty days or slow periods.
  2. Click an empty cell to open the Composer pre-scheduled for that time.
  3. Schedule the next week while you have focus.

Part 5 — Review results (5 minutes)

Check your analytics

  1. Click 📊 Analytics in the sidebar.
  2. The Unified summary shows top-level metrics: impressions, engagement, follower change across all your connected accounts.
  3. Click any platform card to drill deeper into that account's performance.
  4. Click Insights to see Aidelly's AI observations ("Your Instagram Reels are 3.2× more engaging than photo posts").

Next steps — pick your workflow

Now that you've published your first post, explore these based on your needs:

If you want to write faster…

  • Use Chat with prompts like "I want to post about [topic]. Make 5 versions for Instagram, LinkedIn, and X."
  • Save favorite prompts in Prompt Library for reuse.

If you need team approval…

  • Turn on Team Approvals in Settings → General → Require member approval.
  • Posts go to a queue for admins to review before publishing.
  • See Review & Automation for details.

If you want to automate social media…

If you want to collaborate…

  • Invite teammates in Settings → General → Team Members.
  • Assign roles (Owner, Admin, Member) and scope permissions.
  • See Workspace Settings for full team management.

If you want AI-generated content…

  • Use Chat for creative brainstorms.
  • Use Repurpose to turn one article into platform-specific versions.
  • Use Prompt Library for reusable templates.

Troubleshooting

"I don't see my connected account in the Post composer."

  • Account may not have published recently. Make sure it's green-checkmarked in Settings → Social accounts.

"My post failed to publish."

  • Check platform-specific errors in the post detail. Most common: account connection re-auth expired. Reconnect in Settings → Social accounts.

"The AI captions feel generic."

  • Fill out your Brand Profile (Settings → Brand voice) with more detail. The more context, the better the output.

"I want to undo a scheduled post."

  • Click the post in the Calendar and click Cancel (this unpublishes drafts; published posts cannot be undone).
