Chat

Start conversations, upload context, and keep content work moving inside the Aidelly chat workspace.

Overview

Chat is where most content work starts in Aidelly.

Use it to ask for ideas, generate first drafts, refine copy, and continue past threads with saved context.

What this page is for

  • Creating new content from a prompt
  • Refining draft copy through back-and-forth edits
  • Uploading files or media to guide the response
  • Reopening older conversations and continuing the same workflow

Before you start

  • Add your brand profile for better output quality
  • Prepare any source files you want to upload
  • Know the platform, audience, and goal for the content you want

Step-by-step tasks

Start a new conversation

  1. Open Chat from the sidebar or Home.
  2. Enter a direct request such as the format, topic, and platform.
  3. Send the message and review the first response.
  4. Continue with follow-up prompts until the draft is usable.

Add files for context

  1. Drag files into Chat or use the upload flow.
  2. Wait for the files to attach.
  3. Ask Aidelly to use those files when writing or rewriting content.

Continue an older thread

  1. Open the conversation history.
  2. Choose the thread that matches the current task.
  3. Continue from the last message so Aidelly can reuse the existing context.

Common actions

  • Generate a first draft
  • Rewrite for another platform
  • Add media or reference files
  • Continue an earlier conversation

Chat agent tools

The chat agent currently has access to the full v2 tool set.

You do not need to memorize tool names or type them exactly.

The best way to use them is to ask for the outcome you want in plain language.

Some write actions, like replying, changing schedules, updating data, or disconnecting platforms, may ask for approval before they run.

How to ask more effectively

  • Ask for the result, not the tool name: “Show my scheduled posts for next week” is better than “run scheduledPostsManage.”
  • Include platform, timing, and tone when they matter: “Draft a friendly Instagram reply for the latest comment.”
  • If you want a change, say the exact action: “move,” “cancel,” “save,” “reply,” “disconnect,” or “generate.”
  • If the task depends on files, upload them first or mention “use the latest image/video in this chat.”

Tips and gotchas

  • Specific prompts produce better first drafts than broad requests.
  • Keep one campaign in one thread when you want context to carry forward.
  • If the output drifts, restate the goal and platform before continuing.
